I can’t tell you how excited I was when I was asked to do engagement photos for this adorable couple…and that they wanted them in Downtown Seattle!! I love shooting in the city and it is such a nice change from the parks and fields (which I love too!!). I think this fit them so well and I had so much fun capturing their love and excitement! The bride-to-be just moved here about a month and a half ago and the groom-to-be had just flown in for a visit the morning of our shoot, so needless to say, I did not have to do much to get them to interact…you could tell these two missed each other!!!

I find the market to be SO romantic

We did end up finding some greenery that I just could not resist! And I already see some signs of fall!

I was so excited when my fellow photographer Brea Bursch of CYE Photography had the brilliant idea to Pay It Forward to other local photographers and offer up free family photo sessions. In exchage we had to then PIF to other photographers. Of course I jumped at the chance!!

So when I put the word out that I was doing my part, I was SO happy to hear from Shay of Shay’s Photography. Shay was one of the first people I met after moving to Seattle at a photographer’s get together. She was so nice and welcoming and has so much talent. I was also lucky enough to attend a 3 day workshop with her back in January.

I got together with Shay and her wonderful family on a warm summer evening for our PIF session. Her kids are used to the camera (the perks of having a photographer mommy), so our session was easy and fun, and just pretty perfect. The location, the lighting, everything!!!

JLV Photography is looking for 2-3 high school seniors that live in the South Sound area and will be graduating in 2012. These high school seniors will act as representatives for JLV Photography in exchange for a complimentary photo session ($100 value), a discount on prints, and a few other fun perks.

If you are selected as a 2012 Senior Representative, you will receive:
- A free 1-2 hour on-location photo session that must take place by September 30, 2011. This also includes several outfit changes.
- One free digital file of your choice to print, use on Facebook, etc.
- Several watermarked Facebook images (these may not be printed or altered).
- 50 senior representative cards with your picture on them to pass out to your friends as referral cards.
- A 10% discount on any prints or products that you or your parents order.
- A $25 credit for each 2012 senior you refer to me that books their session by May 1, 2012 (all referred sessions are subject to availability, so the sooner the better). This credit can be used toward additional prints (including wallets), digital files, etc.
- Any senior you refer to me will also receive a $25 print credit.

In order to give my clients an even more amazing experience, I have decided to try something new. For the first time, I will be creating beautiful slideshows of the images from a session as a thank you!! This is an amazing way to view your photos and share with family and friends. For now, this feature will only be offered to clients who purchase the Premium Digital Package or Maternity/Newborn package with full CD.

And now for the very first session slideshow. This was such an amazing session, I had a hard time picking my favorites, I just loved them all!! The light and location were just perfect, and of course this proud mommy and daddy to be were beyond beautiful, which makes my job so easy!!

I am so thankful for my Los Angeles clients and how they are so supportive still even after I made the move to Seattle. On my recent quick trip, I was able to squeeze in 2 mini-sessions. The first was for this adorable little girl who I met a few days after she was born and have photographed 3 times since! She is always such a joy and with the help of mommy and daddy, I get some great expressions out of her! On this gloomy, cold morning in the Valley, she again was a trooper. Thanks again to the “H” family and the always adorable “A”. Here are just a few from our session! Enjoy!
